COMMUNITY BAME YOUTHS COMMAND CONFIDENCE;YOUNG LEADERS IN COMBINING CULTURES PROJECT

Today marked the first day of our Combining Cultures eight-week project. I wont pretend that I delved into the programme with full confidence however,
I didn’t have to wait long before my nerves settled as I witnessed the temerity shown by the BAME youth of Cumbernauld residents. I was, and still am astonished by the compelling attitudes of grace and compassion exhibited by our young individuals. Possessing dynamic energy in the form of helpfulness and kind acts of politeness, it’s safe to say, so far, the aims and objectives of the project have been achieved to the required standard…and then some! The short time it took to fill the rooms with laughter, joy and togetherness seemed like a blip – sadly it came to an end faster than we had all expected, in fact, it has encouraged us to extend the hourly programme to one and a half hour slots going forward! What a pleasure it has been to engage with all these magical, innocent little imaginative people that we are learning so much from as they convincingly persuade us adults to reclaim our youth, if only for a few hours. I love your drive, energy and most of all every individual personality and character you bring to the project. Thank you for being part of our ever-growing charity and we look forward to seven more weeks of fun and laughter.
